REVIEW: MCFARLANE TOYS DC MULTIVERSE YEAR 2 - PART 1!

This week, we’re gonna continue what we started last year, with the big reviews on multiple waves of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures.

TOYFARCE REVIEWS:

MCFARLANE TOYS DC MULTIVERSE YEAR 2 - PART 1!

It’s Wednesday, you know what that means… ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we’re gonna continue what we started earlier this year, with the big reviews on multiple waves of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures. The reason is just that I have a huge backlog of pictures of figures that I have taken throughout the year, and wanted to post them at some point, when there is some downtime between deliveries. New stuff will be back next week!

Here are links for the ones from last year: https://www.toyfarce.com/news/review-mcfarlane-toys-dc-multiverse-wave-1 , https://www.toyfarce.com/news/mcfarlane-toys-dc-multiverse-year-1-part-2 , https://www.toyfarce.com/news/review-mcfarlane-toys-dc-multiverse-year-1-part-3

The last figures we checked in ‘Year one - part 3’ were the Flashpoint Batman and Red Hood figures, so we’ll pick up right where we left off with the Batcycle, which came out in early 2021.

BATCYCLE

This version of the Batcycle was taken from the Dark Nights: Death Metal comic book. McFarlane Toys seems to be doing great when it comes to vehicles, which are affordable and look awesome. That bike has a ton of nice details, and looks pretty much like what your bike would look like if you wanted to disguise it as a skeleton bat!

Packaging

Wouldn’t you look badass driving that in your neighborhood?

Front

Ribs… ?

The details on the bike parts are pretty great too!

RANDOM FIGURES WAVE

This wave didn’t really have a theme, so we’ll call it the ‘Random Figures wave’. A Dark Nights: Death Metal Batman, a giant Robin, a Red Son Superman and the Drowned from Dark Nights: Metal, to complete the Dark Multiverse gang.

The Random Figures wave

Packaging

Let’s give him a leather jacket and a scythe! Because Batman wasn’t badass enough, right?

All jokes aside, that is a gorgeous Batman figure.

*BADASSERY INTENSIFYING*

Packaging

That is a TALL Robin!

That South Park facial expression <3

This figure is the new standard scale to measure other figures against.

The robot dance!

Superman, from the classic Mark Millar story arc Red Son, in which Superman did not land in Smallville, but in Ukraine during the Soviet era

Serious Superman is serious.

He reminds me of an actor, but I can’t place who. If you have any idea, let us know in the comments!

Also, HE GOT FAT WRISTS!

Packaging

The Drowned, the last one from the Batman who Laughs’ gang.

This is a version of Batman from another universe where Batman (Bryce Wayne) killed all the metahumans after the death of her lover, and basically became that world’s Aquawoman, after a huge war with Atlantis drowned Gotham City in the ocean. FUN TIMES!

“Under the sea… under the sea…”

BATMAN: LAST KNIGHT ON EARTH WAVE (with BANE build-a-figure)

Finally, a wave with a theme! This entire wave is based on the comic book “Last Knight on Earth” which saw Batman wake up in an asylum, being told that all of his Batman adventures never happened, and he had been in a mental institution the whole time, imagining them. Of course, it’s Batman, so he’ll escape and try to get to the bottom of it. Great story!

The Batman: The Last Knight on Earth wave

A nice different design for the Bat, inspired by Greg Capullo’s art from the book (of course, it had to be Capullo).

Cape made of the straight jacket’s belts

There’s a lot going on on that design

“Oh that? Yeah, that’s just the Joker’s head in a jar, that I carry around.”

Omega was the main villain in the comic book, and was actually (SPOILERS). Crazy, right?

Another cool design by Greg Capullo

Small cape!

Wonder Woman with a mohawk. Because why not?

Nice details on the cape, the texture is very fabric-like.

“It’s not just a phase, mum. I love punk!”

Guess who got a weird super-creepy design in that comic book? The Scarecrow!

His head is inside a transparent red plastic “shell”.

Here is what he looks like without, in case you were wondering. Gilbert Gottfried, anyone?

The Build-a-figure for that wave is none other than the massive Bane!

Built! Does he have crap articulations? Yes. Did you expect to put Bane in Spider-man poses, though?

It still has great details all over!

In the comic book, Bane is mostly used to transport Scarecrow around.

“This is my ride!”

BATMAN - DESIGNED BY TODD MCFARLANE

I forgot to take a picture of the packaging. I brought shame upon my family.

Behold… one of the ugliest Batman figures ever!

The proportions are weird, he’s got a giant forehead (or fivehead). I’m not a fan of the design of the cowl.

Knives go in the back! (No, not like that!)

It’s weird to me that Todd McFarlane would design a Batman like that, after giving us awesome character design for years.

He even drew some awesome Batman back in the days… Maybe it looked better on paper, and the execution was botched?

I AM… DISAPPOINTMENT.

DARK NIGHTS: DEATH METAL WAVE (with DARKFATHER build-a-figure)

Another comic book drawn by Greg Capullo means another wave of McFarlane Toys figures (the prophecy!). Dark Nights: Death Metal was the sequel to Dark Nights: Metal. More Dark Multiverse characters, more dark versions of Batman, and even a soundtrack full of big metal band names to accompany it.

Batman with a Plastic Man guitar. Yep.

Same figure, different accessory, still needed for the BAF parts. Damn you, Todd!

Batman SHREDS

*Bitchin’ guitar solo sounds*

That Superman is… certainly a Superman.

It’s like Danzig met Rosie O Donnell and WWF Superstar Chyna and they had a child, and he worked out a lot. (The paint mess on the nose only makes him more powerful!)

“METAAAAAAAAAAL !”

That Wonder Woman figure looks great! The design translated really well into figure form.

She just kinda looks super bored…

“Yeah, I have a mini-chainsaw… sigh”

The Robin King was an interesting character in the book, it was the Robin that had had the shittiest possible life in the Dark multiverse.

Oh, and of course, it’s also Batman (or Bruce Wayne).

“We’re ALL Batman!”

Time to build a Darkfather! Here are all the parts.

For those wondering what it looks like under his trunks (I know you wanted to know)

The DarkFather (aka Batman, if he were Darkseid)

In his universe, Batman defeated Darkseid and took his powers, becoming one of the most powerful beings there.

That figure has so much spikes, it’s impossible to assemble without hurting your fingers.

Colorful!

BATMAN: WHITE KNIGHT BATCYCLE

Finishing on a high note, that Batcycle is an amazing toy. The front wheel can be “cocked”, so you can extend the front a bit more to make it longer. The Batman: White Knight comic book already had some of the best figures from McFarlane Toys, and now it also has the best vehicle.

Uncocked (or normal)

Cocked (or happy)

Bask in the awesomeness of that Batcycle

That figure was already one of the best from the DC Multiverse line, and has now been upgraded with its badass batcycle!

LOOK AT IT!

Of course, there’s a lot of details on all the bike parst too

And that covers the first half of 2021! Going forward, I might skip more figures, and the next wave I’ll review will be the Suicide Squad movie wave with the King Shark B.A.F.! Can’t wait to get my hands on those, that King Shark figure looks really fun.

More news at 11:00… THAT’S A LOT OF PLASTIC!

REVIEW: MCFARLANE TOYS MY HERO ACADEMIA 5” FIGURES WAVE 1

This week, we’re having a look at the first wave of My Hero Academia 5” figures from McFarlane Toys!

TOYFARCE REVIEWS:

MCFARLANE TOYS MY HERO ACADEMIA 5” FIGURES WAVE 1

It’s Wednesday, you know what that means… ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we’re having a look at the first wave of My Hero Academia 5” figures from McFarlane Toys! Those figures are basically the McFarlane Toys version of a 5POA (Five points of action) figures, except they have ball joints for the arms and legs. They have very nice details and paint, and most importantly, they’re just $9,99!

The whole wave 1: Izuku Midoriya, All Might and Katsuki Bakugo

The whole wave 1: Izuku Midoriya, All Might and Katsuki Bakugo

First off, Midoriya, or “Deku”. That figure really looks gorgeous. Sure, it doesn’t have the articulations of a Figma or Revoltech figure, but once again, it’s a $9 figure. And to be completely honest, I kinda think this one has a better headsculpt/paint on the face than the Revoltech or Figma ones. It looks way more like his face in the anime than the other ones.

Packaging

Here’s Deku!

Here’s Deku!

See what I meant with the face? He kinda looks better than the Revoltech or Figma ones to me…

The part of his suit that he never EVER wears is there too!

That is pretty much it for the articulations. (Once again, it’s a $9 action figure)

“This is the story of how I became the NUMBER ONE HERO!”

“This is the story of how I became the NUMBER ONE HERO!”

All Might also looks great. This one is pretty much a smaller version of the bigger action figure McFarlane Toys did, with less articulations. The sculpt and paint are also top notch.

“I AM HEEEEERE!”

“I AM HEEEEERE!”

“I am the Symbol of Peace!”

“DELAWARE… SMASH!”

“DELAWARE… SMASH!”

And finally, Bakugo, everyone’s favorite character…not. Bakugo is basically an asshole that also wants to become a hero. The details on this one are also spectacular, apart from his face, which I think is the least accurate one of the 3. All the decadence of his suit is there, from the effects behind his head to his gigantic grenade gloves.

“WHERE IS THAT STUPID DEKU?”

“WHERE IS THAT STUPID DEKU?”

It’s not often that we get 3 very good looking figures for about $30. If McFarlane Toys continues making them and we can get many of the characters, I’ll end up with a shelf full of MHA figures without going bankrupt with Revoltech or Figma prices, so I’m all for it. The second wave of those 5” figures will have Todoroki, Iida and the villain Stain.

Here’s wave 1!

DC DIRECT: REBIRTH - COULD THE RESURRECTION OF DC DIRECT BE PART OF ANOTHER DC COMICS CRISIS?

Earlier this month, it was revealed that McFarlane Toys would resurrect DC Direct, and fans worldwide rejoiced (including yours truly)!

BREAKING NEWS:

DC DIRECT: REBIRTH - COULD THE RESURRECTION OF DC DIRECT BE PART OF ANOTHER DC COMICS CRISIS?

“I can’t prevent the future. To me, it’s already happening” - Dr. Manhattan

Earlier this month, it was revealed that McFarlane Toys would resurrect DC Direct, and fans worldwide rejoiced (including yours truly)! There is not much information yet, apart from the plan to manage the current remaining stocks, along with revamping some of the fan-favorite lines of figures and statues. We can speculate that the Batman Black and White statue series could make a comeback, as it would give McFarlane Toys another way to pump out even more Batman items, and hope that the Animated Series line is coming back (please, please, please!).

The Voice of Reason (@pzahui) found out about pre-orders for those cancelled items on European stores. EXCITING!

The Voice of Reason (@pzahui) found out about pre-orders for those cancelled items on European stores. EXCITING!

But in the comic book world, it is not uncommon to see characters die, and come back to life later. What if (not related to Marvel) this was all part of a DC Comics event too?

The most recent “crisis”-level event in the comic books was the “REBIRTH” event, where we learned later that all that happened during the previous event (New 52) was because of Dr. Manhattan (yes, the blue naked dude from Watchmen) reshaping reality and changing the past. Heroes that were dead were resurrected, so it’s not too farfetched to think that the same could have happened to DC Direct. DC Comics had already rebranded DC Direct to DC Collectibles in the past, before changing their mind and rebranding it back to DC Direct (kind of like what happened with the New 52…). Is Dr. Manhattan behind all this?

More news at 11:00… Nothing ends, Adrian… Nothing ever ends.

NEW DC MULTIVERSE LEAK: “HEROES DO DO THAT” TWO-PACK?!

It’s been a weird couple of weeks for the caped crusader!

PicsArt_07-02-05.10.45.jpg

BREAKING NEWS:

NEW DC MULTIVERSE LEAK: “HEROES DO DO THAT” TWO-PACK?!

It’s been a weird couple of weeks for the caped crusader! A few weeks ago, we learned that Warner executives had asked to the producer of the 3rd season of the Harley Quinn animated series to remove a scene where Batman was… practicing oral sex on Catwoman. This led to internet catching fire (as it usually does…). Fans posted various pics of the comic book, or parodies with action figures in very “ooh lala” positions. The best one though, came from Zack Snyder himself, (the guy from the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag!) who just posted this:

It is canon!

It is canon!

Now, ToyFarce has discovered a leaked listing from an organic vegetable store in Latvia that mentioned that a two-pack of Batman and Catwoman called “Heroes do do that” would come out later this year. Let’s be honest, if there is one person that would do this, it certainly is Todd McFarlane. The man has a documentary about himself called “Like Hell I Won’t”! If DC would tell him to specifically not do a two-pack of Batman and Catwoman, and specifically not put them in a certain position in the packaging, we all know what Toddy Mac would reply: the title of his documentary. (The documentary was pretty good actually, and can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qc3hNtKJ1k )

This is the face of a man who would not be scared to make a two-pack of Batman going down on Catwoman. Look at him!

This is the face of a man who would not be scared to make a two-pack of Batman going down on Catwoman. Look at him!

We have yet to see any picture from the two-pack, but it will actually be the first Catwoman figure from McFarlane Toys.

Here is a “fake” statement from DC about Batman going down on Catwoman. (I don’t know why they say it’s fake. Next thing you know, they’ll say that ToyFarce is fake! *eyeroll*)

REVIEW: MCFARLANE TOYS KICKSTARTER REMASTERED SPAWN TRILOGY PACK!

MCFARLANE TOYS KICKSTARTER REMASTERED SPAWN TRILOGY PACK!

It’s Wednesday, you know what that means… ToyFarce reviews!

Behold! Today, we’re checking the long awaited Kickstarter Remastered Spawn Trilogy Pack from McFarlane Toys. I had a lot of fun with it throughout the weekend, so check our social media or the hashtag #loveyoukickstarterspawn for all the shenanigans. But now, it was time to open it.

Obviously, here are the faces I made when opening it:

PicsArt_11-14-03.41.30.jpg

Here are some pictures of the packaging, which, as promised, was pretty freaking awesome. It really felt like opening something fancy, and now, I can’t go back to just opening normal blister cards. We have higher standards now, come on! Talking about blister cards, the blister card found inside the box is also a call-back to the original one from 1995, with the comic book and everything. Like a ‘retro’ Spawn figure, if you will! It is “collector-friendly”, which means easily resealable.

Here are the figures outside of the box! They’re heavier than i thought, but still have a good balance, thanks to the massive cape! (yeah, yeah, I know, it’s not removable)

CLASSIC SPAWN:

The classic Spawn comes with the classic costume (duh!). It’s a modern remastered version of the classic 1995 action figure (which you can see on a few pictures below). It’s a beautiful figure. That’s my opinion. Sure, the shoulders can’t move much because of the cape, aNd wE DiDn’T gET aN aB-cRuNcH (yells at the sky), but it still is a beautiful figure. The colors are great, with a nice contrast between the black/white and the bright red and green. It’s a great Spawn figure. I’m happy I got it. The screaming head is a bit meh, since it comes as a ‘block’ with the neck, but it’s a nice looking skull nonetheless. The trilogy pack version comes with a plethora of accessories too.

MODERN SPAWN

Modern Spawn comes with slight modifications to his suit, to look a bit more like the modern outfit (big glove, huge boot…). The weird thing is that the boot is on the wrong foot, and you would think that Todd McFarlane would know on which foot the big boot is supposed to be, but oh well! The unmasked head is gnarly AF, and looks awesome (McFarlane Toys knows how to do gnarly, see Tortured Souls, etc…). The Al Simmons head is also a great sculpt. Kinda look like a black Dominic Purcell (which I can’t unsee now), but it looks great on the figure (and it has a neck!). This one comes with a big gun that the other ones don’t have. Also a call-back to the original 1995 unmasked Spawn variant, which I also had, with pics added below.

ARTIST PROOF SPAWN

The Artist Proof Spawn is the ‘unpainted’ version. McFarlane Toys used to do that a lot in the past (the movie Spawn figure had an unpainted version like that too, which was given at the Cannes film festival, and I grabbed a bunch of them back then), so it made sense to have this one as a part of the set. It’s a great figure, in the sense that since it’s not painted, your eyes are drawn to all the details and the sculpt. It comes with its very own ‘necroplasm’ effect, and some of the other versions’ same accessories, but unpainted.

I’m pretty happy with the set (in case you couldn’t tell!). It will look awesome on a nice display (which I have yet to figure out), and I’m glad I participated in the Kickstarter campaign. All figures come with a stand that says “Record-setting action figure”, which is a nice touch. Gotta rub that in, right?

PicsArt_04-28-04.24.21.jpg
The Trilogy Pack also came with a signature plaque, from someone called Tord McForlove. Excellent job, Tord!

The Trilogy Pack also came with a signature plaque, from someone called Tord McForlove. Excellent job, Tord!

Todd McFarlane teased that the next Kickstarter project might be a Medieval Spawn. My body is ready!

“Where is my Kickstarter??”

“Where is my Kickstarter??”

REVIEW: MCFARLANE TOYS DC MULTIVERSE YEAR 1, PART 1 (FIRST WAVE 1-YEAR ANNIVERSARY)!

About a year ago, give or take a few days, the first wave of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures started to hit Walmarts all over the US.

TOYFARCE REVIEWS:

MCFARLANE TOYS DC MULTIVERSE YEAR 1, PART 1 (FIRST WAVE 1-YEAR ANNIVERSARY)!

It’s Wednesday. You know what that means… ToyFarce review!

About a year ago, give or take a few days, the first wave of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures started to hit Walmarts all over the US. It was supposed to come out on either Jan 19th or Jan 24th,2020 but lots of stores ‘broke street date’ and had them out before, which caused panic and FOMO all over social media, with people paying way over double retail to secure the figures mere days before the actual release date (Yes, it was very silly. I wonder how the guy that paid $100 for a Batman who Laughs feels today).

It seems that figures from that wave are still popping up in stores to this day (a year later), because I’ve seen people post pictures of the Animated Series Superman figure, saying “SCORE! Did you guys know this one was coming out??” while it is a year old, so here’s a look at the full entire first wave (minus the Bat-Raptor vehicle, which I wasn’t interested in).

(Not on the pic: Comic book Superman and Unchained Superman)

(Not on the pic: Comic book Superman and Unchained Superman)

When Todd McFarlane announced that he would be picking up the license for DC Comics at the ToyFair in 2019, I was very excited since I’ve always liked McFarlane Toys figures, and have been collecting DC Direct/Collectibles items for a long time. 11 months later, the first wave came out. This will be the first part of a 3-part review of the first year of the DC Multiverse line.

BATMAN (DETECTIVE COMICS 1000):

First off, the first Batman figure released by McFarlane Toys. At the time, we were all innocent and did not know there was going to be 20492 more coming after that. This figure had a pretty divisive reception, people either loved it or hated it. It still does have great articulations and is pretty nice for a basic Batman. My only issue with it is the squinted eyes, but it makes him look like taken from a Jae Lee design. Comes with a grappling gun and batarang.

SUPERMAN (ACTION COMICS):

Now this is a Superman figure! The sculpt, the face, everything is great with that one. It comes with a flight stand so you can display your Supes up, up and away. I haven’t seen a single complaint about this one, and I understand why. A solid Superman.

HARLEY QUINN (CLASSIC):

Now that one left me a bit puzzled. She is supposed to look like the comic book version, but looks more like the animated series version at the same time. The facial expression and paint is very simple compared to the other figures, and I do not know why. This is the weakest one from that first wave for me. Also, she’s the same size as all the other figures, which a lot of people hated about her, calling her “Giant Harley”. The accessories are nice (mallet, gun with a “bang” flag), the articulation is great, but that face…

GREEN ARROW (TV SERIES):

That TV show was great for about 3 seasons, and then went downhill until it ended. Stephen Amell did do an amazing job in the show, though. I had the DC Collectibles figures from the Arrow series, so I was curious to see what the McFarlane version would bring to the table: a bit more articulations (double elbows and knees). The jacket is made of a soft rubber, which restricts the posing a bit, but it still looks pretty good. The textures of the costume are very nice. The likeness? Close enough… Comes with a quiver filled with arrows, and a bow (that looks kinda crappy).

BATMAN (ANIMATED SERIES):

Now that one got a lot of people confused and angry. To my understanding, it is a Batman, as he would look in the Animated Series if designed by McFarlane Toys. It’s an interpretation of the design from the Batman from the Animated series from Todd McFarlane/the team at McFarlane Toys. People got so mad that it didn’t look EXACTLY like the designs from Bruce Timm (like we didn’t already get half a dozen of perfectly accurate figures from DC Collectibles in the last decade…). They gave it their own spin, and I am fine with that. It’s a great figure (and I’m tired to pretend it’s not, Murray!). Great range of articulation too! Comes with a pair of extra hands, grappling gun and batarang.

Comparison with the DC Collectibles Animated Series, New Adventures of Batman and Justice League Batman figures

SUPERMAN (ANIMATED SERIES):

That Superman goes on par with the Batman, it’s once again a “stylized” version of the Animated series design by McFarlane Toys. Same as Batman, great range of articulation. The only nitpick would be that it didn’t come with a flight stand like the other Superman, which would have been great. He comes with a couple of extra hands and a piece of bent steel.

GREEN LANTERN (JOHN STEWART - ANIMATED SERIES):

Another stylized Animated series figure with a ‘modern’ John Stewart. The figure comes with great accessories (constructs made of green lantern solid light, I mean!). Once again, a flight stand would have been amazing, but I’m fine with it that way too. Those 3 animated figures are very decent and quite big.

BATMAN (HELLBAT SUIT):

Now for the big boys! To quote Todd McFarlane: “That’s a lot of plastic!”. A great big figure, with huge wings that can be folded. This is the first time the Hellbat Suite was made into a figure, and it looks amazing. The shiny paint job on parts of the armor looks ridiculously good. More of that, please!

SUPERMAN (UNCHAINED):

Another big boy with the Unchained Superman from the comic book of the same name. Jim Lee’s design was already amazing in the comic book, and the figure looks like it just came right out of it. It has a pair of wings that can be folded to look like a cape, or open. A beautiful piece of toy-engineering. (No comparison shots, due to lack of other armored Superman).

THE BATMAN WHO LAUGHS (BUILD-A-BATMOBILE):

The following 3 figures came with a piece of a Batmobile, à la “Build-a-figure” from other toy lines (this one comes with the left side of the car). The Batman who Laughs is the only brand new character from that wave (in the sense that there had never been any other action figure version of him before this one came out), and what can I say: McFarlane Toys sure know how to do creepy! It looks just like the Greg Capullo designs from the Dark Night: Metal comic books, and comes with a big knife and a scythe. What else?

BATGIRL (BUILD-A-BATMOBILE):

A very nice figure of ol’Barbara Gordon, coming with the right side of the Build-a-Batmobile. One of the best figures from that wave, with decent articulation allowing great poses. We need more Batgirl figures. She comes with a grappling gun and a batarang.

NIGHTWING (BUILD-A-BATMOBILE):

Last but not least, Nightwing, aka Dick Grayson, formerly known as the boy wonder, Robin, coming with the center part of the Build-a-Batmobile. A very nice sculpt on this Nightwing (maybe a bit too emo-ish on the expression). A highly articulated Nightwing (double elbows, knees, all the works…) was long overdue. He comes with his Escrima sticks.

BUILD-A-BATMOBILE:

Here’s the Build-a-Batmobile, when you combine the 3 parts from The Batman Who Laughs, Batgirl and Nightwing. I really like the design they chose for this Batmobile. I really hope there will be a few more in the future, even though it seems they have favored Build-a-figures rather than vehicles in the waves after that.

For a first wave, it was a very satisfying wave that the folks at McFarlane Toys gave us (not that I had any doubt about it, since I’ve been buying their product since the very first Spawn figure nearly 25 years ago). Little did we know that new figures would be announced every couple of weeks and be released soon after that, totalling in 49 figures released in 2020 alone (with already 35+ announced for the first half of 2021…yikes).

PicsArt_01-27-11.13.07.jpg

The McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Year 1, Part 2 review should drop very soon (I am unsure yet if I want to drag this over 3 weeks, so I might release them at different times, as ‘bonus reviews’). Part 2 will most likely deal with the waves up to the Dark Nights: Metal wave.

SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN! ASKING EVERYDAY “HAS ANYONE RECEIVED THEIR TOY YET?” MAKES IT ARRIVE FASTER!!

SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN: ASKING EVERYDAY “HAS ANYONE RECEIVED THEIR TOY YET?” MAKES IT ARRIVE FASTER!!

If your feed has been looking like that for a few weeks, do not adjust your monitor, it’s completely normal!

There are lots of people that ordered toys (for example, that Kickstarter Spawn) that are very excited and are getting so impatient that they feel the need to ask very often if other people have received theirs. Nobody really knows why, considering that if other people have indeed received theirs, their situation would not miraculously change, and they would still not have received their own. Some say it makes them feel better if other people got theirs, because they could be next in line (that never happened). But could asking “Has anyone received theirs?” often actually make your toy arrive faster?

A team of scientist from Wyoming got a very generous funding in order to start a research on that phenomenon, and their results will surprise you! Professor Kent Waite was interviewed by ToyFarce: “There is a correlation between asking that same question all the time, and the toys actually arriving faster. There is a lot of mathematics involved but we won’t go into that…” he said. “With my colleague, Professor Ian Michael Patient (aka Professor I.M.Patient), we are using Einstein’s theory of relativity, proving that the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference, and when you spend your entire days bitchi…I mean, asking about your toy, time flows differently for you, and when you get your figure, it feels that less time has passed!”

You heard him, folks! So keep asking about your Kickstarter Spawn, or the tracking info about it! It will definitely make it arrive faster!

UPDATE: EVEN MORE MCFARLANE TOYS DC MULTIVERSE LEAKS?!

Since last week’s article caught fire, ToyFarce felt that we needed to share that update with you right away. It could also be a lesson about always checking the source…

BREAKING NEWS:

UPDATE: EVEN MORE MCFARLANE TOYS DC MULTIVERSE LEAKS?!

Once again, ToyFarce got the scoop before anyone else (Sorry again The Voice of reason / @pzahui). Another store in Malaysia (it’s always Malaysia) sent us the ultimate proof (a photography of a computer screen!) about the line-up of the future waves of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse action figures, and it’s even more surprising than the “Batman Forever”/”Batman & Robin”-Schumacher-verse waves!

IMG_20210118_120037__01.jpg

There will first be a wave of DC Multiverse figures that will include Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America!

Spider-Man_FFH_Profile__01.jpg

After that, the DC Multiverse line will dive into the Star Wars side of DC Comics, with Darth Vader and Boba Fett figures! We can’t wait to see what Todd McFarlane has in mind for those!!

darth-vader-and-boba-fett-wide-wallpaper-26691__01.jpg

Then, there should be a new wave that will include Ronald McDonald, the Hamburglar and Grimace! They should come with various items from the McDonalds menu as accessories!

intro-1540576106__01.jpg

Finally, the last DC Multiverse leaked wave will be all about Sesame Street, with a 7inch action figure of Elmo, Big Bird and the Cookie Monster. There should be a build-a-figure Mr. Snuffleupagus (or ‘Snuffy’), but it hasn’t been confirmed yet!

Since last week’s article caught fire, ToyFarce felt that we needed to share that update with you right away. It could also be a lesson about always checking the source, but we are sure that everybody did, and read the article anyway, RIGHT?

We will let you know when we get more updates from Malaysia!

BREAKING NEWS:

MORE MCFARLANE TOYS DC MULTIVERSE LEAKS?!

For once, ToyFarce managed to get a scoop before The Voice of Reason (sorry Patrick @pzahui!) about McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse future products!

After the leaks about the Snyder’s Justice League movie figures a few days ago, a collectibles store in Malaysia (Have you noticed that it’s always some stores in Malaysia that leak those?) sent ToyFarce the scoop about the upcoming waves, and it is surprising, to say the least! As usual, no pictures yet, but you can bet that the Toddfather will make a live video about it very soon! (What’s up with the toothbrush?)

IMG_20210115_112002__01.jpg

There will be a wave of 4 figures from the classic “Batman Forever” movie: Batman, Robin, Two-face and the Riddler. The figures are expected to be 7-inch and will feature all your favorite things about McFarlane Toys figures (articulations, ab-crunch, etc…).

It’s great to see high-quality figures from what Jonathan Ross called “One of the greatest movies ever made”!

FB_IMG_1610696807093.jpg

The following wave will be “Batman and Robin”-themed and will have 5 figures + a build-a-figure Bane, each separate figures coming with different parts in order to build the figure (you know the drill…). Batman will come with Bane’s head, Robin with Bane’s arms, Batgirl with Bane’s torso, Poison Ivy with Bane’s hands, and Mr Freeze with Bane’s legs.

We can already hear the excitement from all Batman collectors and DC Multiverse collectors (which are basically the same thing!).

More news at 11:00… Bat credit card… Never leave the cave without it!
